MANTRA Raises $11m to Accelerate RWA Tokenization in Asia and the Middle East
We are excited to announce the completion of a successful $11 million funding round at MANTRA, led by Shorooq Partners — a prominent venture and technology investor in the MENA region. This new capital injection will significantly foster our mission to revolutionize Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization on a global scale.
Shorooq Partners is a leading investment firm specializing in seed and early-stage startups in MENA and Asia. This strategic funding round was also joined by Three Point Capital, Forte Securities, Caladan, Virtuzone, Hex Trust, Token Bay Capital, GameFi Ventures, Mapleblock, Fuse Capital, 280 Capital and others.
Driving Financial Inclusivity & Growth in Emerging Markets
MANTRA envisions a future where RWA tokenization unlocks greater accessibility to investment opportunities in the Middle East and Asia. By boosting market liquidity and fostering growth, we aim to stimulate economic activity and development in these regions, which have traditionally faced hurdles in entering established financial markets.
The strategic funding aims to empower MANTRA to achieve three key objectives:
- Building Compliant Infrastructure: The MANTRA team will focus on constructing a robust and regulatory-compliant infrastructure that adheres to the evolving global standards.
- Empowering Developers: We plan to equip developers with the necessary tools to seamlessly create RWA-focused Dapps and protocols on MANTRA Chain, fostering a thriving ecosystem for innovation.
- Expanding RWA Tokenization: We will actively pursue the tokenization of a wider range of RWAs, while simultaneously spotlighting market opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia.
At MANTRA, we believe that simplified processes to buy and sell assets will pave the way for new investment avenues, promote entrepreneurship, and attract a wave of global investors. This aligns perfectly with the aspirations of both regions (MENA and Asia) to spearhead financial innovation and propel economic prosperity.
Commenting on this development, Co-founder & CEO, John Patrick Mullin said “This funding not only accelerates our vision of bringing the world’s financial ecosystem onchain, but also solidifies our commitment to the Hong Kong and Middle Eastern markets, where our physical offices in Hong Kong and Dubai stand as beacons of innovation. We’re crafting an infrastructure designed for builders, institutions, enterprises, and users keen on exploring RWAs. It’s a testament to our mission of making asset tokenization a cornerstone of financial inclusivity and market development.”
MANTRA Chain: A Bridge Between the Middle East and Asia
MANTRA is steadfastly dedicated to accelerating the widespread adoption of tokenized RWAs. Our secure and compliant chain infrastructure provides a unique framework, allowing seamless creation and trading of RWAs, empowering TradFi institutions to leverage the potential of blockchain technology. Hongbai Incentivized Testnet is on the Horizon!
As the much-anticipated launch of Hongbai Incentivized Testnet is also set around the corner, this strategic funding will be significantly instrumental in strengthening and advancing MANTRA Chain development. The name “Hongbai” itself embodies our commitment to bridge the gap between Hong Kong and Dubai, two of the world’s leading financial centers. The MANTRA Chain testnet serves as a metaphorical bridge, fostering economic collaboration and cross-border investment between the Middle East and Asia.
