As we continue to transition and prepare for significant CEX integrations for our MANTRA Chain Mainnet OM, we are excited to announce important updates regarding EVM OM Staking on MANTRA.finance.

December Rewards

The rewards earned in December for BSC, POL and ETH OM staking will be distributed on MANTRA Chain mainnet. Read below to find out how you can secure your allocation.

Starting January 1st 2025

EVM OM Staking Continues on Ethereum only:

1. MANTRA will maintain EVM OM staking rewards for OM tokens on Ethereum.

2. The Staking Pools on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Polygon will be deprecated.

3. Going forward, the rewards earned in the Ethereum staking pool will be distributed on the MANTRA Chain using Mainnet OM.

Monthly Reward Distribution

Each month, MANTRA will allocate 1 million OM tokens to EVM stakers in the Ethereum staking pool. This distribution will be done on a pro-rata basis, taking into account both the amount of tokens staked and the duration of staking. The 1 million OM will be fairly distributed among all stakers according to these criteria. Changes to the allocated staking rewards will be announced prior to the next distribution phases.

During the month, we will capture snapshots to facilitate the allocation to your MANTRA wallet. The OM rewards will undergo daily linear vesting over the one-month period and the tokens can be claimed on MANTRA.Zone

What Do EVM OM Stakers in the Ethereum Staking Pool Need to Do?

As an EVM OM staker on MANTRA.finance, there’s no immediate action required regarding your staked EVM OM. However, you do need to link the EVM wallet you used for staking to a MANTRA Chain address that you control. To accomplish this, please use our MANTRA Bridge to transfer a small amount of OM (as little as 1 OM) from your Ethereum wallet to your MANTRA Chain wallet. This step will confirm your custody over both wallets and enable the proper allocation of rewards on Mainnet.

Important: If you do not link your wallet in time before the next distributions, you will need to wait until the following month's distributions start. Any rewards that are unclaimed for >2 months are forfeited.

What Do EVM OM Stakers in the BSC or Polygon staking pools Need to Do?

To secure your rewards for December 2024, you would need to bridge a small amount of OM from ETHEREUM to Mantra Chain using the same address as you are staking with on BSC or Polygon. Please do not bridge from Polygon or BSC directly as it is not supported.

In order to keep earning staking rewards in 2025, you would have to do either of the following:

(1) Unstake from the BSC/POL pool and move your EVM OM to Ethereum. Then stake in the Ethereum single asset staking pool on MANTRA.finance

(2) Move your tokens to Ethereum first, and then bridge them over to MANTRA Chain to enjoy Mainnet staking rewards (which will always be higher than staking rewards on EVM side)

How Are Rewards Distributed?

All reward distribution campaigns on MANTRA Chain are managed through MANTRA.zone. By connecting the correct MANTRA wallet that earned an allocation, you will be able to view your available and vesting OM amounts for each campaign, separated by staking month.

What Should You Do with Your Mainnet OM?

The decision on how to utilize your Mainnet OM is entirely yours. You may choose to stake it at our higher mainnet staking reward rate, currently exceeding 17% per annum, or explore our Swap and Liquidity features.

Please note, that currently the UI is still reading the APR directly from the staking contract and therefore shows 0%. Rest assured that this is not the case, and our tech team will adjust this for January 2025.
