# MANTRA Chain

> MANTRA Chain is a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). It enables regulated, compliance-first tokenization of assets such as real estate, treasuries, commodities, and funds, combining Cosmos SDK performance with EVM compatibility, IBC interoperability, native staking, and a regulatory design suited for institutional finance.

MANTRA is a Real World Asset (RWA) ecosystem and consists of four components: MANTRA Chain (the L1), MANTRA Finance (a UAE-based Virtual Asset Service Provider licensed by VARA for exchange, broker-dealer, and management & investment services), mantraUSD (the ecosystem stablecoin, backed by US Treasury bills via M^0 Protocol), and the network of applications, partners, and institutional participants building on MANTRA Chain, primarily NVNM Chain. The native staking coin is $MANTRA. On trading platforms like Binance and Bybit, the asset is often shown as MANTRA (MANTRA).
